Cougars boys basketball bring home camp Championship

The Pulaski Co. boys basketball team journeyed to Emory & Henry’s camp and took the camp championship.

They played Forbush (NC) High School in their first game and came away with a loss. They then took on Roanoke Catholic, Lebanon and Marion and won all three games,

Cougars then defeated Fort Chiswell, Watauga (NC) and Roanoke Catholic sending them into the championship game on Sunday against Forbush (NC).

Cougar BasketballThey would not repeat the first game against them as they knocked off Forbush to take the camp championship.

Cougar head coach Andrew Hart said, ”We liked a lot of what we saw at the camp. There’s always room for improvement. To lose our first game and come back to win seven in a row and beat the team that beat us was exciting.”

The Cougar team consisted of Sean Spencer, Logan Robertson, Noah Bradley, Trent Blankenship, Braeden Blevins, CC Grubb, Kellen Dalton, Bryan Roberson, Austin Reinhardt and Noah O’Dell.

Coach Hart remarked, “We had very balanced scoring and that was good for us and hard for the other teams to defend.”

The Cougars will now go to Northside next Tuesday to attend the team camp being held in Roanoke.
